The biggest celebration of LGBTQ+ life in Yorkshire is back and better than ever for its 18th year on 21st July 2024. Carry on reading to discover EVERYTHING that you need to know ahead of Leeds Pride this Sunday.
Leeds Pride 2024 will be taking place in the heart of Leeds City Centre on Sunday 21st July 2024. With huge names performing throughout the day and a massive colourful party planned, it will truly be a day to remember. Leeds Pride are expect record breaking numbers, preparing for thousands of the LGBTQ+ community to gather and celebrate the city’s diverse culture.
The Parade
The festival will start with its iconic parade, kicking off outside Leeds Town Hall at 12pm. Parade entries will gather at Millennium Square from 11am, ready to set off walking, marching, singing and dancing across the streets of Leeds. Floats, flags and fancy dress will travel through the heart of the city centre as the parade finally reaches Lower Briggate where the festivities begin! It is encouraged for spectators to line the Headrow for the best views of the parade. Please see the full route below.
The Festival
With new dance areas, improved facilities and more venues, the Leeds Pride Festival site will be open from 12pm! The Festival has expanded for 2024 and is introducing new areas at Heaton Court and Call Lane. Expect live music, funfair rides, delicious drinks, tasty food and empowering anthems throughout the fun-filled day. The Pride family area will be located on Leeds Bridge providing a jam-packed programme of fun and games for all ages, all thanks to the support of sponsors, Manning Stainton. The Line-up
Prepare to drop your jacket off at Viaduct Show-bars cloakroom, and get your dancing shoes ready as a huge line-up of acts will be performing across various stages this year! Brought to Leeds Pride by Jet2 Holidays, the main stage will be presenting huge names such as Sonique, Louisa Johnson and Baby D. Over at the community stage, Rachel Fuller, Leona Norskov Jorgensen, Rock Choir, and American Rainbow Family will be providing entertainment for festival goers throughout the day. The Afterparty
Be sure to save your energy as Gaydio is presenting the Official Pride Afterparty at ‘Under the Arches’.
